Los ojos de la noche intertwines in an intimate way milongas, tangos and murgas, with deeply romantic melodies and a detailed counterpoint treatment. Instruments of different origins and latitudes interact creating an enveloping atmosphere of “harbor music” like fado, habanera o Neapolitan songs, but with a synthesis made in Buenos Aires. The musical pieces, brought together by a conceptual line, seem to follow the sequence of a film story, in the manner of true orchestral etchings. Los ojos de la noche brings us the sounds of a timeless city where what is familiar is manifested through a different order. But always keeping, even in recollection, a festive spirit.
